The Schaefer/Miles Family Farm Studio Arts Center & Retreat is a work in progress and
is located in the rolling hills of Unglaciated Western Wisconsin on Green Hills Farm,
at the corner of Hwy 53 & Co. Rd D. one mile North of Whitehall in Trempealeau County.
They share their lives and love on canvas and jointly produce finely detailed oil paintings of lush landscapes.
Dedicated to family, they raised their two daughters on the family's dairy farm from the 1940s to 1989, when Wendy's parents, Harland and Phyllis Schaefer, sold the Guernsey herd.
Phyllis was a creative soul in every endeavor, and Harland wrote short stories about his farm life.
We would like to share the vision to honor Harland and Phyllis and the creative, passionate way they approached life.
Please join us and help our cause for creativity.
Our Vision:
To inspire Creativity in Everyone in every way and bring Art Enrichment and Culture Closer to Home.
Our Mission:
To foster, share, and create a beautiful retreat for rural artists to have space to work and offer a refreshing change to creative types seeking escape and inspiration away from larger cities, sharing abilities while developing talents and inner spirit.
Our Values:
Family, faith, and the joy of painting are what we live for.
Sharing our joy and passion for painting and nature with others is our job.
If all the world's peoples were busy creating, they would have no time to destroy.
Our Goals:
To create a place in the country to find yourself through the Arts!
A working studio center for creative disciplines of human expression through classes, workshops, and retreats.
In solitude or camaraderie...
